‘The Game Is On!’ offers a chance for the needle worker to work with a variety
of specialty stitches in this well-paced two-day class. There will be different
color and needlework processes addressed; for example, directional stitching,
how to create emphasis within areas by changing colors and how the colors (and
their volume) work together. This design focuses on the checkerboard.
The kit includes an unfinished frame for the stitcher to assemble and 24
unfinished checkers. This gives the stitcher the opportunity to paint the frame
and checkers the color of their choice!
Advanced Intermediate
There are many types of threads used in this piece in order facilitate the
desired effect; DMC floss and Perle Coton, Pepper Pot Silk, Planet Earth 6 Ply
Silk, and Kreinik are all utilized in this design. ‘The Game Is On!’ - stitched
on 18-count canvas measuring 16" x 16". The finished size of this great piece
is approximately 12” x 12”.
