River Valley

‘Fish In The Mississippi River Valley’ offers a chance to work with a variety of specialty stitches in this well-paced two-day class. There will be different color and needlework processes addressed; for example, directional stitching, how to create emphasis between areas by changing colors, how the colors (and their volume) work together and stitching on Tulle fabric. This design focuses on the fish, the meandering river, and the surrounding valley.

There are many types of threads used in this piece in order facilitate the desired effect; Tulle fabric, DMC floss and Perle Coton, Pepper Pot Silk, Planet Earth 6 Ply Silk, and Very Velvet are all utilized in this design. Piece stitched on 18-count canvas measuring 14" x 10".  The finished size of this great piece is approximately 10” x 6”.
