'Stacked Rectangles,' offers a chance for the needle worker to work with a
variety of composite and specialty stitches in this well-paced three-day class.
There will be different color and needlework processes addressed; for example,
selecting areas to be painted for added emphasis, directional stitching,
couching and how to create emphasis within areas. This design focuses on the
open middle rectangle and its relationship to the other rectangles.
There are many types of threads used in this piece in order facilitate the
desired effect; DMC floss and Perle Coton, Pepper Pot Silk, Planet Earth Silk,
Kreinik and Silk Lame' Braid are all utilized in this design. 'Stacked
Rectangles' - stitched on 18-count canvas measuring 17" x 17". The finished
size of this great piece is approximately 11 ¼" x 12".
